Dr Ankush Vidyarthi MB BS DCP MRCPsych

Consultant Psychiatrist

 Dr Vidyarthi is a medical doctor specialising in Psychiatry. He completed his medical degree in 2001 and was elected as a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2008.

He currently works as a NHS Consultant Psychiatrist at St James University Hospital in Leeds and also provides consultant input to the regional Chronic Fatigue service.


After obtaining a medical degree, he completed his training in Psychiatry from Royal Free Hospital training scheme in London. He then moved to Leeds to complete Higher Specialist Training in Psychiatry and was awarded CCT in General Adult Psychiatry with endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry. He is approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act (1983)

 He has published five books for medical students and previously worked as a honorary lecturer at the University of Leeds




His clinical expertise includes treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress, PTSD, medically unexplained symptoms, mental health consequence of physical illness and chronic fatigue.

Dr Vidyarthi sees patients aged 18 to 70 years.
